United States Pentagon Police

The Pentagon Police Division or United States Pentagon Police, commonly known as Pentagon PD, is the principal branch of law enforcement under the Pentagon Force Protection Agency which is a federal law enforcement agency within the US Department of Defense, charged with the protection of The Pentagon, the Mark Center Building, the Defense Health Agency HQ, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces among other infrastructures occupied by the Department of Defense within the National Capital Region.

The Pentagon PD’s primary responsibility is to provide security services and protection to The Pentagon and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This usually entails patrolling, investigation of criminal activities, being on the security detail of designated Defense officials, and response in times of emergency. The department employs over 500 officers. If you’re one of them or have friends or family in the force, Police Brand Memorabilia and Collectibles’ Customisable Wooden Thin Blue Line Flag with their name or badge number, a Police Bulldog Sticker/Decal for their car, or just the Honorbound Protect and Serve Police Coin for them to add to their collection or start one if they like challenge coins.

It is noteworthy that our four-legged friends of the K9 Unit are also an important part of the agency, and so are their handlers, for them, we have the K9 Unit Sticker and K9 Unit Challenge Coin. It is tasked with the detection of explosives for the community of the Department of Defense in and around the Capitol region. The Unit is organized into numerous teams inclusive of a canine and its handler so that they may function in both proactive and reactive manners to ensure safety in the working environment at the Pentagon and associated facilities. The K9 Unit is a PPD Special Operations Force and is trained to be dutiful, alert, and respond quickly to situations at a moment’s notice. The required relationship to foster an effective rapport between the assigned PPD Officers and the dogs are the focus of the department. The dogs live with their handlers and become a major part of their home life—such that it allows them to bond in a way that reflects efficient response time during incidents where canine support is required.

The other specialty forces of the Pentagon PD are the Recruiting Division, Training Division, Emergency Response Team, Mobile Patrol, Security Services, and Criminal investigation amongst others.

Their motto is “Semper Vigilans”, which when translated means “Always Watching”, indicative of the vigilance and promptness required of the job. All of these factored in, it only makes sense to support these brave hearts in their endeavor, and the Peace Love Black and Blue Shirt, Back the Blue Thin Blue Line Bracelet, Blessed are the Peacemakers - Wooden Sign and Pray for the Police Bracelet can help members of the community do just that and let the officers know that they’re doing a good job and that the community is proud.

Please note that in no way is Police Brand Memorabilia and Collectibles affiliated to any law enforcement or governmental organization.
